World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.
upgrade item increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be available in the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon a reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
In the final game, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets leveled up.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could increase in price even if you do not need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player continuously enters or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like crit chance, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
